The Open Source Initative (OSI) has announced that Carlo Piana is the new Chair of the Board. OSI is the 25-years established steward of the Open Source Definition, the yardstick that defines if certain software is Open Source.
Carlo has been serving as a Board Member and Vice Secretary of the California-based entity since April 2022. Today OSI has announced that the current Chair is stepping down and Carlo has been promoted Chair, effective the 9th day of October 2023.
